Domain Expert (Physics)

Part-timeAI Data OperationsRemote / Istanbul

About the Role

We are seeking a Physics Domain Expert to join our AI Security team. You will conduct red-teaming exercises to identify failures in physical reasoning that could lead to safety risks. Your work will focus on generating adversarial examples that expose vulnerabilities in how LLMs interpret physical constraints and industrial safety protocols.

What You'll Do

  • Design adversarial prompts to test LLM understanding of physical safety constraints
  • Red-team AI models for potential failures in industrial control contexts
  • Generate complex physics scenarios where model hallucinations could be dangerous
  • Collaborate with security researchers to benchmark physical reasoning robustness
  • Verify model refusal rates for dangerous physical instructions

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Physics or related field
  • Deep understanding of theoretical physics and physical safety principles
  • Proficiency in English (Polyglots preferred)
  • Interest in AI safety and adversarial testing
  • Ability to think creatively about potential failure modes

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in multiple languages
  • Experience with safety-critical systems
  • Background in industrial engineering or nuclear physics
  • Basic programming skills (Python)
