Senior Backend Engineer
About the Role
You will design and build the distributed systems infrastructure for our real-time AI security platform. You will focus on high-throughput, low-latency processing of API traffic, ensuring reliability and scalability.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable microservices for traffic inspection
- Optimize system performance to maintain strict latency SLAs
- Build robust data pipelines for security telemetry and analysis
- Ensure system reliability through comprehensive observability and testing
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python
- Experience with distributed systems and concurrency
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containers, and orchestration
Nice to Have
- Experience building high-frequency trading or real-time bidding systems
- Experience with low-level systems programming
- Contributions to open-sources infrastructure projects
